The business landscape changes almost daily. So, it can be hard to decide which MLM company is right for you. There are hundreds of MLM companies to choose from. With so many options, it’s important to do your research before deciding. In this article, we’ll look at LiveGood, a new membership-oriented nutritional supplement company. We’ll discuss the company’s business model, compensation plan, and products. Then you can decide if LiveGood is the right MLM company for you.

LiveGood is a membership-oriented nutritional supplement company that offers a variety of products designed to improve your health and well-being. The company’s mission is “to help people get healthy and stay healthy without having to spend a fortune to do it”.

LiveGood competes on price.

If you compare their supplements to products offered by other Network Marketing companies, they are generally less expensive. This is because LiveGood doesn’t pay commissions on the products, but on the monthly membership fee they charge. More on that later.

LiveGood Corporate Team

LiveGood is led by Ben Glinsky who was the founder and CEO of Skinny Body Care. Skinny Body Care’s URL goes to a parked page, so it seems they are no longer in business. LiveGood does show one of Skinny Body Care’s products on its product page.

Director of Product Development is Ryan Goodkin. I don’t find much information about him. His current Youtube channel is new, as is his current Instagram and Facebook accounts. Othe than the brief bio on LiveGood’s site, I don’t see what companies he has worked with in the past.

Lisa Goodkin is listed as Director of Product Education. Looking at her Facebook profile, she’s been active as a Fitness Trainer. Her current Facebook page was started in 2021, in which she was promoting DoTerra products prior to her involvement with LiveGood.

LiveGood Products

LiveGood currently offers 11 products under the LiveGood brand and 3 products that carry the Skinny Body Care brand.

As I said earlier, their product pricing is attractive. They have a multi-vitamin for men and one for women, which costs $9.50 for Members and $12.95 for non-members. Their D3-K2 product has 50 mcg of D3 and 90 mcg of Vitamin K. 60 caps. $8 for Members, $12.50 for non-members. They also offer Ultra Magnesium Complex, Complete Plant-Based Protein, Organic Super Greens, Organic Super Reds, Organic Coffee, 750 mg and 1500 mg CBD Oil, and Essential Aminos. All the products are priced very competively. You can see more information about the products HERE (Full Disclosure – this is my wife’s affiliate link. We are customers of the company)

How these products compare to others on the market is something I’m not qualified to address. I don’t know the ins and outs of nutritional supplement ingredients and what might make one better than another. When I look at the labels of LiveGood’s products, they look like they use the same ingredients as other companies that charge a lot more for the products. And not just Network Marketing companies; off the shelf retail companies, as well.

Here is a quote about their products taken from their site:
“Don’t mistake our amazing cost savings with cutting quality. Every one of our unique, top of the line supplements and skin care products are made with the highest quality ingredients at best manufacturing facilities on the planet!”

LiveGood Membership Program

LiveGood’s business model is based on a monthly membership fee, positioning itself as a Sam’s Club or Costco. Members can choose to pay for their membership either monthly or annually. The company also offers a variety of product packages that members can purchase, which are discounted when compared to the retail price. There is no monthly minimum product purchase requirement. No autoship. No minimum product purchase to qualify for rank.

There is a one-time $20 charge to become an affiliate. I was on a call where there was discussion of that going up to $50, but that hasn’t happened as yet.

Membership fee is $9.95 per month or $99.95 per year.

Weekly Referral Bonus

You’ll earn a bonus on the first membership fee and the affiliate fee (if applicable) of 50%. So $5 on a new member plus $10 if they become an affiliate. If those people, in turn enroll folks you’ll get paid a percentage of their first membership/affiliate fees up to 10 levels deep.

Livegood Weekly Referral Bonus

Monthly Residual Bonus

Monthly Residual Bonuses are paid on the Membership Fees of people you refer and whom they refer up to 10 levels deep.

Retail Commissions

Some folks will prefer to simply pay non-member price for the products. When they do, you get paid on the difference between the member and non-member price based on the same Weekly and Monthly schedules above.

Diamond Bonus Pool

There is also a 2% bonus pool paid out to Diamond members. 2% of all member and non-member sales will be paid out to Diamond ranked members.

To qualify as Diamond, a member must have 3 separate legs with a Platinum ranked affiliate, plus a total of 2,500 active members and/or customers in your team. A Platinum ranked affiliate must have 100 personally enrolled active members and/or customers or 3 separate legs with a Gold ranked Affiliate, plus a total of 500 active members and/or customers in your team.

Is LiveGood the Best Network Marketing Program for You?

I can’t say. That’s up to you, of course.

What I like about it is the competitive price point of the products. Products through most Network Marketing companies must carry enough markup to pay out 35% to 50% of the price in commissions. And when people are faced with a $150, $200 or more auto-ship each month, it impacts retention.

If people aren’t earning enough to cover their auto-ship, unless they’ve experienced a life-changing event with the products, they often fall out after a few months. This is less of a problem with LiveGood’s price point. Also, there is not product auto-ship…but there is a $10 per month membership fee. Are people going to be willing to continue that membership long term? Time will tell.

Which brings me to my bigger challenge with LiveGood as an income stream. You’re going to earn between $1 and 20 cents on each member of your team, regardless of how much product they buy. So you’ll need 4000 or more people on your team to make a full-time income. That’s a LOT more than you would in a program where you’re earning $3 to $7 per team member.

It’s a trade-off.

Several people for whom I have respect are convinced that Livegood’s product pricing will win over enough people to make that trade-off worthwhile.

I’d be curious about your thoughts around that. What’s your opinion? Put it in the comments below. I’d be interested in having a discussion around this.
