Conventional wisdom says you need a bigger portfolio,
but you just need a better plan.
You feel it every time someone at work mentions their 401(k) like it's a solved problem. Every time you look at your brokerage statement and quietly close the tab.
And look, before we start blaming the world for our troubles, let's admit that compound interest did its job. But we didn't feed it enough for long enough and now we're coming up short.
That's on us.
It's also true that wages haven't kept up with expenses. Healthcare eats a big piece of what's left. There were a couple market crashes that had us starting over. College for the kids got scary expensive. Some of us have been helping support aging parents or struggling kids. Or both.
So maybe you weren't bad at this. Maybe life just got in the way of purer plans.
The purpose of a retirement portfolio isn't a number in a spreadsheet. It's a monthly check.
We spent decades thinking about the balance. How many figures were in the account. The comma that wasn't there.
But the balance isn't what pays the bills in retirement. The income it throws off is.
Run the math on a million dollars at a 3.5% withdrawal rate and you get $35,000 a year.
Before taxes, if it isn't in a Roth.
And that's if you've got the million. Most of us don't. And even the guys who do aren't sleeping as well as you'd think. Especially these days.
But here's what changes everything: if you had $4,000 or $5,000 a month coming in, separate from your job, not tied to what the market did last week, on top of Social Security, would you care what the account balance said?
That's the shift. Stop chasing the number. Start building the income.
Cash flow is the new comma.
That's what this guide is about.
It's a straight look at what works for guys our age who are starting late and don't have time to waste on the wrong thing.
Here's what we cover:

I'm not a financial advisor or a guru.
I'm a 60-something guy from Caldwell, Idaho who spent decades in the convenience store business as an owner-operator and a mid-level corporate guy. I know what work looks like.
I also thought I had the money thing figured out. I saved some. Got into real estate with a lot of leverage. Was on a roll.
Then 2008 happened. I learned the hard way that borrowed money cuts both ways, and it beats you roughly about the head and shoulders when it goes wrong.
The retirement account did what it was supposed to do. But the savings never caught up with the timeline.
That's a hell of a thing to face in your fifties.
So I looked for a way to fix it. That search led me to online business — affiliate marketing, network marketing, digital products. I went down a lot of rabbit holes. Grabbed every freebie I could find. Made some mistakes worth telling you about.
These days I write about what I found at Missing Comma. Straight talk for guys our age who got a late start and are done pretending it's all going to be fine if they don't do something about it.
This guide is the framework I wish I'd had.

It's free. No pitch waiting on the other side.
Just a clear look at the problem and what guys our age are actually doing about it.
Drop your email below and I'll send it over.
